Dr.'s Appoinment

We had a Doctor's appointment today. The Lukee boy got his shots and I got mine as well...At first he was in a great mood. Playing with his dad while we were waiting for our names to be called by the nurse. The nurse weighted and measured him, and the Doctor checked him as well, informed us his weight and height percentile. The Doctor said that he is doing pretty good so she isn't concern at all. She likes him too. wink! He is a happy boy... Isn't he? She exclaimed. After few minutes of conversation with our respective doctor, after voicing out our concern with regards to our Lukee boy's health, it was a shots time. Hubby can't stand seeing a nurse giving him a shot so am I, but I needed to stay beside him and comfort him. Hubby wanted to go outside but I told him to stay, he stayed stayed in a corner of the room but, turned his back. He can't stand watching the 4 inches needle poking his boy's legs. eww!!! After the nurse gave Lukee the shots, the daddy comforted his boy. He was still in deep pain heheeheheehe! He cried for a few more minutes but as soon as we left the hospital he was fine. Perfectly. as he always does.

Then, we went back home. He take a long nap after 2 shots. Hehe. After hubby off at work we headed to find an RV dealer shop. Hubby's father wanted to buy us an RV. Yeeee-haw!!!! I am thrilled. Hubby's father owns a nice looking motorhome and loves to go camping every summer and he wanted us to do the same. He stressed out that he wanted to see his grandson often, so he is buying us an RV. Isn't it great???

But, man oh! man...Its pretty pricey eh? I wish he would just hand us the cash not for RV but for shopping instead. HEHEHE! If its only me, I wouldn't spend a dime on RV. It cost a fortune. But, it is a gift. why not? Right? Its pretty nice that he is buying us, just so overwhelmed by my fil kindness.

Well, hopefully, hubby could be able to decide which design he likes. He prefer a small one. He refused a 3o feet long RV, but I told him we need a bigger one, but i guess his mind is settled enough for the one he prefers and nothing can change it.

Again, we may have it anytime soon. I can't hardly wait to have it. It would be so nice to spend time at the campground in any state. isn't it?

so, anyway, the Lukee is doing great, healthy, carefree and happy, that's what's important and the RV. heheehehe!!!

Off the road we will be.

Baby Pharaoh

We were at my husband's daughter house yesterday to visit his grandson Jack and we were playing with Lukee boy. And we were calling him a baby pharaoh. hehe!!! He is so adorable. hehe! And, he seemed to be cooperative and also seemed like he liked it too. Just so amazing. I can't simply get over it. He is a five months old baby yet seems like he is matured enough for his age. he is extremely strong. Has a great muscle control. His nephew jack is the cutest too. They are both cute in their own little ways. Jack dad is a Scottish. Getting a burp out of your little thing is probably the greatest satisfaction I've come across. It's truly one of life's most satisfying moments. When the first baby laughed for the first time, the laugh broke into a thousand pieces and they all went skipping about, and that was the beginning of fairies. And now when every new baby is born its first laugh becomes a fairy. So there ought to be. More importantly, A baby will make love stronger, days shorter, nights longer, bankroll smaller, home happier, clothes shabbier, the past forgotten, and the future worth living for.

For those who is still undecided to have or not to have a child better have one. Its worth it. True. Satisfying in its real sense of the word.

Home is never a home without a child. A child fills one empty hearts full of love, happiness, joy and enthusiasm.

Make one now. Its better to be sooner than later.

Baptism

This is my husband's friend and his name is Larry. He likes Lukee boy big time. Whenever he sees Lukee he always play with him and my Lukee just laugh like crazy. He is a very nice person too and his family as well.

I always say to my Lukee boy, ok! here is your Uncle Larry and Lukee boy is just so happy whenever he sees him too. Amazing.

Larry ang hubby are friends since they were very young and till to this day their friendship is simply growing. They call each other many times in a day, and talk like real brothers. In fact Uncle Larry is the Lukee boy godfather. We decided to ham him baptize, I believe it is crucial for a child to be able to know and understand religion and God. Having a religion is important for a child to grow and understand that there is a supreme being, and that we are all but God's masterpiece. A great masterpiece as proof that God is perfect and no one else. No scientist could ever produce a baby like my Lukee boy. no scientist can ever give life. What they do is making things worst and contradicting God's creations. which they can't create and give vague explanation and estimation on everything, but no matter what it is vital for a child to know and be aware about God. A god fearing person is a person with respect, love and understand towards his surroundings and environment.

Therefore, Our Lukee boy is going to get baptize soon.

God is great. Thanks for this little boy.

Welcome Baby Jack

This is my husband's grandson, born last July 16, at around 6:33 pm.

They named him Jack. What a Cutie. He has a great long nose. Amazing. he has lots of hair too.

Everyone were very anxious for baby jack's arrival into this world.

We were in the hospital and waited till he finally came out. His mom, whom happened to be my husband's daughter decided to have a c-section.

She was extremely in pain during contraction, when the doctor gave her epidural the baby's heart rate dropped then her doctor was worried so c-section was the answer. Good thing was the baby is healthy. Weighing 8.1 and 9 1/2 inches long. welcome Jack. Hmm..and btw, that's made me a grandmom? Not by blood but by connection. hehe!

5 months old baby

As of today, July 21st, 6:05pm, my darling Lukee boy turns five months old. Whew!!! Time indeed flies real fast. Unbelievably fast. Fast enough that we can't hardly believe it.

I felt it was only yesterday when I gave birth to this precious little one.

Now, he is five month old. In fact he started rolling over back and forth already. he can grasp, bat his toys as well. He has an incredibly strong grip. It just amazing. I can't ever believe and will never get over it, that I was able to give life to this wonderful child. I think being a mother is pretty much rewarding, but, not all the time. Realistically. There are times also that as a mom you would lost your patience. Like when he cries for no reason. Throwing a fist just simply irritates me. I am not sure with other moms out there, however, not all the time only if I am tired and sleepy. hehehe!!! Today I was really really sleepy for he woke up 3am the other night and didn't go to sleep until 6am. That's changed his routine but he is back to his sleeping pattern again.

five months and few more months will be his first birthday. Can't wait.

what not to feed your baby

I copy pasted from yahoo news. I found this interesting and so this way I can remember.

A common question asked by new mothers is what types of foods to offer and what types of foods to avoid when it comes to introducing their babies to solids. The recommended age for weaning a baby off of a breast milk or formula-only regimen is 4-6 months old, according to the American Academy of Pediatric. After that time, you should gradually introduce new foods to their system. When you do decide to take that step and introduce new foods to your baby, here are some tips about what foods to avoid until your baby’s first birthday:

Honey

Honey can harbor poisonous botulism spores. While an adult’s intestinal tract is strong enough to prevent the growth of these spores, a baby’s system is not. This can produce life-threatening, poisoning toxins.

Peanut Butter

The sticky and thick consistency of peanut butter can make it hard for an infant to swallow. Hold off on introducing peanut butter and other thick buttery spreads to your child.

Cow's Milk

It’s best to stick with breast milk until your child is a year old because babies cannot properly digest the protein in cow’s milk. Additionally, cow’s milk does not contain as many necessary nutrient as breast milk and it contains minerals that could damage his developing kidneys.

Some Other Foods to Avoid

Salt (baby’s kidneys are not strong enough), low-fat foods (not recommended for kids under 2), undiluted citrus and fruit juices, raw eggs, artificial sweeteners, hot dogs and sausages that are high in fat, foods with added spices and seasonings.

Choking Hazards

Pea-sized foods are the safest to feed your child because there is less choking hazard. So, it is best to cut or dice everything you serve your baby, from fruits and vegetables to cheese and meats. Small, hard foods like nuts, popcorn, hard candies, raisins should be avoided as your baby could choke on them. Even soft foods like marshmallows and jelly candies can get stuck in your baby’s throat.

Allergies

Doctors recommend waiting until the age of 1 or later to introduce solid foods that are common allergens, such as foods containing nuts. It’s best to introduce new foods gradually, waiting several days to make sure your baby does not have a bad reaction to the meal. If allergies run in your family, check with your doctor to come up with the best plan for introducing foods like cow’s milk, nuts, wheat, soy, fish and eggs.

Precautions

Do not allow your baby to eat in the car. It is difficult to supervise while driving and there are choking hazards if the ride becomes bumpy. If you are using a rub-on teething medication, make sure to keep an eye on your baby’s eating habits because the medication could numb his or her throat and make it hard to swallow.

So, What CAN I Feed my Baby?

Within the first few weeks of weaning, it’s safest to feed babies pureed foods, like pureed carrots, potatoes, sweet potatoes, cooked apply, banana and pear. Packaged baby foods often contain a lot of sugar, so it’s actually healthiest to puree your own baby’s food so that you know exactly what’s in his or her meals.

teething???

I am a first time mom, and I am not so sure if he is teething or not at all? But, somehow, I guess my instinct is telling me that he isn't teething yet. His grandma and aunt tracy thought he is when he fussed last time when we were at grandma's house, so they asked his uncle mike to buy a teething gel and grandma applied to his mouth. He seemed like he is teething he chews everything he grabbed he automatically bring it to his mouth, and he is drooling a lot too. Hehe. Still not sure if he really is teething.

My heart fiils with so much joy whenever i see my husband's family showed so much love, care and affection toward my baby. As a mom it made me happy. However, my husband's daughter is about to give birth to a baby boy as well, and, I expect that their attention will be divided but that's normal. I constantly reminded myself to not to be jealous, I know, as a human I guess its normal to feel that way. But, this I tell you, My emotion is pretty much stable and sane. Jealousy, envy never runs in my veins, that's what I am going to instill to my baby. Those words are merely evil.

So far everyone is enjoying my baby lukee. He is soo cute. no matter what. hehehehe.

Love you my lukee boy...Always remember mama loves you big big time. Ever.

Birthday and Baby Shower Party at one

Its really amazing. Why? Because my husband and her younger sister has same birth date. Amazing isn't it? My husband born on July 13, then in his 3rd or forth birthday his mother gave birth to his younger sister, Mary. So, they always have a double celebration, however, his parents held his birthday and his sister, Mary, on Sunday, July 11 instead, so everybody can attend. At the same time, his parent's gave my husband's daughter a baby shower all in the same day. Whew!!! Awesome weekend.

One cake for three occasion. hehe!

We had so much fun and my Lukee boy had as much fun as he could. he likes being around with so many people. He laughs and smiles to just everyone.

I guess my husband loves his boy so much, and, I guess he is as proud as he can be as well. He will be having his grandson soon. Just crazy he is a father and a grandfather in the same year. Lukee boy, his son, is at least four months and three weeks older.

Furthermore, he wanted his grandson and his son to play soccer in the same team, he is trying so hard to convince his daughter to move to a town where we live in. I'm not just sure if they will, in case they do, it would be crazy. So much fun for the boys.

first driving lesson with daddy

My baby turned four months last June 21st, and as of tomorrow he will be four and two weeks old, however his daddy can no longer wait to teach him everything, like driving. Amazing. I think at barely four months he is able to stand of course with some support and assistance, but he is kinda strong. I am a mother and like most mothers, I am pretty amaze watching my baby each day growing from a tiny borito and now he honestly doesn't look like a mushy mushy baby, he look like a little man, as his aunt Mary calls him. I have not been with any babies in my life and I am not sure that a baby as old as four months can actually stand up already. He got good and strong legs.

This baby simply light up our lives. He surely made his daddy's day complete and happy so as his grandpapa and grandma. To tell you frankly, I can't still believe that I gave birth to a cute baby boy. each day he is growing and getting cuter. I am not saying this simply because I am his mother, I ain't blind and definitely won't mislead myself believing my baby is cute if he happen to be not. He is a gift from heaven like many other babies, and he surely our little man angel. He is cuter in person more than in his pictures, with his cute tiny face that looks really manly. No doubt about that. but, he cries like nuts, and, he smiles and laughs like angels do as well. he got some temper too, but all in all he is such a good baby. Sleep through the night, love to be held all the time, and love to be outside too. he won't fuss whenever he is outside, I guess he is wanting his freedom too early. hehe
